How we compare software

Our guides are designed to make pricing, limits, and product tradeoffs easier to compare before you choose a tool.

Sources

We start with official pricing pages, product documentation, terms, public policies, and release notes. Secondary sources may point to questions worth checking, but important claims should be supported by the provider or a reproducible test.

What we compare

The criteria depend on the category. Common factors include total cost, usage limits, billing rules, integrations, portability, support, cancellation conditions, and the work required to maintain the product.

What we do not assume

A long feature list does not automatically make a product better. We look for the constraints that affect a specific use case and distinguish documented capabilities from claims we have not independently tested.

Updates and corrections

Software changes frequently. We recheck material details when providers update pricing, policies, or product limits. To report a factual issue, use our contact page.
